Appetence

What is Appetence?

Appetence will be your “right place, in the right moment”. Appetence is the part of the app where you get to meet other singles. If you don’t enter Appetence, you will not be shown to anyone you don’t know yet. Appetence gives you the basic compatibility information. You will have to discover the rest about that profile if you feel attracted to it. You can set your preferences for Appetence so that you find people you would like to meet.

I accidentally dismissed a new profile, can I get them back?

We are sorry to tell you it’s not possible to get a new profile back once you have dismissed it. However, It is possible that same profile shows up again in a while. Let’s cross fingers.

Appetence is stuck.

Make sure you have the latest version of Appetence. Try hard closing the app: If you’re using an iPhone, double tap the “Home” button, and swipe Appetence up to force quit the app. If the issue persists, try logging out and logging back in.

 

Compatibility

How does compatibility work?

Being compatible doesn’t mean to be the same, but having things in common, something to share. In Appetence, you are the algorithm. Our “Slow Matchmaking” only connects you with people who share with you the same kind of interests, hobbies and ways of understanding life. However, what happens next will only depend on you. You will be able to see the compatibility of your tastes in the bar that encircles each one of them. And you will see the total compatibility in the bar that encircles the profile photo. The more compatible you are, the more complete the circle will be. The game is based on deciphering what the connection between you and that person is about.

The compatibility bar of a taste is empty.

When the compatibility bar of a taste is empty, this means that person and you don’t coincide in any of its elements. It may be that although you both have a high compatibility level in general, you are not as much compatible in that particular taste. It is possible to that person has not filled anything in a taste. You will know so because no number will appear in the badge.

 

Likes system

What are the likes for?

You will need “likes” to unlock information about the profile you have encountered with. At first, you will be able to unlock tastes. The more tastes you unlock, the more of their photo you will be able to see.

How do I use the likes?

You will get your first “+10 likes” when an encounter is set (both, you and the other person, want to meet).

You will get the rest of likes by:
-Every time you start a conversation for the first time in the day with any of your encounters…+1 like!
-Receiving “likes” in your comments during chatting and giving “likes” to the other person’s comments…+1 like!
-Receiving “likes” in your tastes…+1 like!

And remember…with every “+10 likes” you get, you will be able to unblock one of the other person’s tastes. For every taste you unblock, a piece of the other person’s profile photo will appear.

 

Tastes buttons and Badges

What does the number in each taste badge means?

That number indicates the total amount of favourites the other person has filled inside that taste. This way you will know which taste will give you more information about that profile.

Why does the colour of a taste icon change?

Before you unlock a taste, it will appear empty of colour. Once unlocked, it will have the background colour of the app, this way you will know every time you enter in the other person’s tastes, which ones you have already unlocked and which ones you haven’t.

One taste doesn’t have neither number nor compatibility bar.

That means the other person hasn’t marked any option in that taste. If it had a number and no compatibility bar, it means that they have selected options inside that taste but there are no coincidences with yours.

 

Encounters

How do I report someone?

You can only report someone that you have already encountered with. Go to their profile, hit the top right icon and select “Report user”. When you select this option, their profile will disappear from your encounters list.

I lost all my encounters!

Try logging out and logging back in. As long as you haven’t accidentally deleted your account you should be fine! Note: If only one or two of your encounters disappeared, they either blocked you or deleted their account.

One of my encounters disappeared.

It seems that person either blocked you or deleted their account. Try logging out and back in just to be sure.

I don’t have any encounters.

If nobody is returning your requests to have a Appetence encounter, try our tips to improve your profile. It may be possible your profile is not enough completed.

 

Chat / Messages

Can I message someone I haven’t encountered with?

To chat with somebody, the willing has to be mutual, so you won’t be able to chat with someone who didn’t want to meet you. Remember this app works in real time, so it doesn’t keep people waiting for you or you waiting for someone. You will find people any time you want and only when you want.

My messages are not going through.

Please make sure your internet connection is working properly. If you’re using an iPhone, double tap the “Home” button, and swipe Appetence up to force quit the app.

 

Photos

How do I change my profile photo?

You can always change your photo profile. Just go to your profile, tap edit, and you will be able to upload a new photo. For the moment you can only add one photo to your Appetence profile, in future updates you will be able to have a photo-gallery.

I can’t upload my photo.

Make sure you have the latest version of Appetence. Try hard closing the app: If you’re using an iPhone, double tap the “Home” button, and swipe Appetence up to force quit the app. If the issue persists, try logging out and logging back in.

Can I send a photo to a person?

You can’t send photos to users, remember this app is for you to play and discover. Enjoy!

 

Verified Profile

How do I get my profile verified?

Tapping in the menu gets you to your profile, there you can choose the option of verifying profile. The front camera will turn on and you take a photo of yourself and send it to us. We will verify it as soon as possible and the verified icon will appear in your profile.

 

Sign up and login

I can’t log in.

Make sure you have the latest version of Appetence. Open Appetence and try logging out and logging back in. You can also try force quitting the app. If you are connected with Facebook, go to Facebook app settings and remove Appetence. Then try logging in to Appetence again. If you are connected with your email account, make sure you are not introducing a wrong email address or password. You can request for a new password and we will send it to you.

You can also try deleting Appetence from your phone, downloading it again and reinstalling it. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your existing encounters and messages.

Why does Appetence need to access my camera?

Appetence will only need access to your camera roll when you want to become your profile verified and when you want to upload your profile photo by taking a photo instantly.

The app keeps crashing.

Make sure you have the latest version of Appetence and try hard closing the app: If you’re using an iPhone, double tap the “Home” button, and swipe Appetence up to force quit the app. On Android: Go to ‘Settings’, go to ‘Apps’, select Appetence, hit ‘force quit’, then open Appetence again. You can also try restarting your phone and reinstalling the app. As long as you don’t delete your account you won’t lose any of your encounters or messages.

Will I lose my encounters if I delete the app?

As long as you don’t delete your account, deleting the app won’t delete any of your encounters or messages./p>

 

Profile and settings

How do I edit my profile?

Go to edit profile, hit the menu icon on the top right hand corner, there you will be able to edit everything about your profile.

How do I change my name or my age?

This is easy, just go to settings and edit your data.

How do I change my lifestyle, my tastes page and my status?

Hit the menu icon on the top right hand corner, there you will be able to edit everything about your profile.

I can’t change my settings.

Make sure you have the latest version of Appetence. If the issue persists, please try again in a few hours.

How do I delete my account?

For security purposes, if you want to delete your account, you’ll need to do it directly on the app.

If you eliminate your account, it will be permanent, so we want to be sure you really want to do it. We will completely eliminate your account in 14 days. If you change your mind during that time, just log in with your Facebook account or email address and it will be activated again automatically.

Once you decide to eliminate it permanently, you will lose your encounters, messages and all other information associated with your account. If you deleted the app, download the app again.

To delete your account, navigate to the Settings pane, select App Settings and select Delete Account.

Bear in mind, during the 14 days after you delete your account, if you log in again you will have the same user and the same encounters and messages. If you try to login after those 14 days, we will create a whole new account for you.

Remember that deleting the app does not delete your account.
